Although fabulously wealthy, she has no interest in the high society that she's been conditioned for and is constantly striving against her noble heritage. She hates being treated as upper class, even though she can't help her proper demeanor and struggles with crass speech. Although she wears a pink rose in her hair and a sapphire pendant—in order to appease her father, who demands that she give the appearance of nobility at all times—she loathes receiving gems or flowers as gifts, finding them trite and superficial. She is far more interested in handcrafted gifts, and always appreciates the skill required to make something over the cost. Although she also detests receiving jewelry, she makes an exception if it's handmade. Despite her typical decorum, she flies into a rage whenever anyone speaks disparagingly of her sister (or she interprets them as doing so). Although she cannot shake her high-status verbiage, she will unleash a torrent of denigrating language on anyone who demeans her sister. She always expresses shame afterward, but it's half-hearted, as though she doesn't truly regret it. Her sister, Lumi, has a rare autoimmune disorder that prevents her body from properly regulating its temperature. Laila is desperate to find a cure for her, hoping that The Unda will have what they need. As such, she is close friends with Vita, the resident apothecary, and is quick to enlist the help of Muses. Her questline involves scouring The Unda for obscure flora until a cure is found for her sister, after which Laila can be recruited permanently. In combat, Laila uses the Burst Range moveset, keeping her distance from enemies and hitting them with infrequent heavy hits. She can also use a variety of support abilities depending on her equipment, which can be changed from the menu.
